Craft Description: About Cricket Hill Jams
Located in the hills of Conway, Cricket Hill Jams makes over 25 varieties of jams and condiments. As people’s tastes differ, we offer a unique variety of products ranging from classic jams to more unusual condiments.
We use local produce to make our jams and condiments. Fruit such as apples, peaches and pears are from Clarkdale Orchard in Deerfield. The blueberries are from Whately, strawberries are from Sunderland, and the raspberries are homegrown in Conway. Other produce is purchased at local farm stands within a 15-mile radius.
Cricket Hill jams and condiments are sold at local craft shows, farmers market, the Olde Hadley Flea Market, local stores, or directly from the kitchen. For further information or to place an order call (413) 369-4651.
New jams or condiments are occasionally added, while other items are in limited supply. Please call or e-mail to inquire about new products or to confirm availability.
Gift boxes of four 8-ounce jars or six 4-ounce jars are available from Cricket Hill Jams. We can now ship to anywhere in the United States by FedEx or USPS.
Jars and rims are reusable. If possible, please return them when the jars are empty. All jars are sterilized before use, and then processed in a hot water bath to complete the canning process.
Just as in the home kitchen, all products are made in small batches of 6 to 8 jars to ensure quality. Recipe sources include Blue Ribbon Preserves, the Fannie Farmer Cookbook, the Joy of Cooking, the New York Times Cookbook, and Putting Food By.
