Description
The Moss Rock Festival that will be held at The Preserve from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm daily.  Admission is free!  The Moss Rock Festival is an event celebrating nature and open spaces through art & design.  The event will include:  Artist Row, Etc. Spaces, Wonderkid Art Studios, Eco-Ideas, Crescent Stage, Preserve Trails, The Nature of Wedding Cakes, Fanfare Tent and much more.

Again, admission is free!  Public parking is at the Hoover Met with shuttles running throughout the day.
On November 7-8, Hoover, Alabama will be a regional focus for art, design & environmental lovers everywhere with the return of the 4th Annual MOSS ROCK FESTIVAL, presented by Princeton Baptist Medical Center. This highly anticipated one-of-a-kind outdoor fall festival which welcomed 15,000 visitors in 2008 will be celebrating NATURE, OPEN SPACES and ECO-FRIENDLY IDEAS through ART & DESIGN and will take place at The Preserve in Hoover. The Festival is free. Hours are 10am-5pm each day. Visitors will Park & Ride from Regions Park. Bring the whole family. There is something around every corner for visitors to discover including:
ARTIST ROW - Juried Artists in all media will be showcasing over 5000 Works of Art primarily inspired by or depicting nature and/or made from recycled or natural materials.
ETC.SPACES - architects, designers, landscape designers & artists will be competing for $10,000 in award money for the best 'strictly design'�, 'design/build'�, and 'sculpture/installation'� projects that will punctuate various open spaces throughout the festival site
ECO-IDEAS - 'green living'� as well as eco-friendly ideas, design, organizations & innovative products will be featured
MOSS ROCK PRESERVE - patrons can participate in a fun geo-location game with fun prizes or take a guided hike
CAFE BY THE WOODS ' the perfect place to get great eats, drinks & treats at the festival

Activities
There will be about 100 artists whose work depicts nature or has been influenced by nature, as well as work by artists who work with natural and recycled materials.

Another part of the festival will feature eight interactive workshops for children called "WonderKid Studios." The festival will feature 75 original works by students in the first through eighth grades in the Hoover school system.

In addition to a "green design" tent set up to display products by companies that are environmentally friendly, Kunzman said one of the weekend's centerpieces will be the work of 14 participants in an "etc. spaces" design contest.
