Wonderful primitive goods and antique show.
Enjoy a beautiful autumn day by coming to the Simple Goods show! Simple Goods is a gathering of country folks from all over who have wonderful selections of primitive accessories and antiques for the home and garden.There will be a cozy, small sitting area where you and your friends can relax and enjoy eating our delicous food while listening to fantastic live, olde time music.This show is located at The Dan Emmett conference center at 150 Howard St. Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.It will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 from 10AM - 5PM. |
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
**VERY IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ**
1. Please move your vehicle to the rear parking lot - after you get everything unloaded but before you start sitting up your booth.
2. ABSOLUTELY NO screws, nails, push pins, etc… in the walls or floors (if there is any holes or other damages caused by these things or any other items - found in your area right after the show – whether you did it or not – you are responsible for the cost of repairing it).
3. Heated wax of any kind MUST be in a crock (if there is any splattered and/or spilled wax found in your area – whether you did it or not – you are responsible for the cleaning cost). Also, please keep all hot wax where children cannot get to them.
4. You MUST wear your name tags when you come in on Saturday morning to the show. Anyone in your party not wearing a name tag will be asked to put one on before entering the building. Your name tags will be provided to you along with this paper.
5. Pre sales are fine (between exhibitors and Simple Goods workers/volunteers) but please put the bought item or items away and out of view or mark ‘NFS’ on it.
6. Set up hours are from 12PM – 8PM on Thursday, November 5th and from 7AM – 7PM on Friday, November 6th. Your area should be completely set up and swept (cleaned) by 8AM on Saturday morning.
7. Please throw away your trash before leaving the building. There will be trash cans and there is also a dumpster located behind the building.
8. Please remove the measuring tape from the floor after you have set up your area and sweep it if necessary.
9. Please make sure all rugs are secure, boxes are hidden and everything in your booth that is for sale or used for display is marked as such on a label or tag.
10. NO IMPORTED OR MASS PRODUCED ITEMS!!!
11. Please report any customers that you see that are roaming around inside or outside the building trying to get early buying done on Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday before 9AM.
12. PLEASE DO NOT TEAR DOWN UNTIL 3PM!!
Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with enough postage for the jury materials you are sending to be returned to you. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. Food Service will take orders from and deliver to vendor booths. Vendors can share a booth. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Food Service will take orders from and deliver to vendor booths. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Vehicles can be left behind/in/near spot. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
A multiple-person panel jury thoroughly reviews slides or photos and display. All items must be entirely hand-made, no Embellishments only. Limited number of Artists per category. Table cloths required. Booth Business Sign Required. No inventory boxes in view. Pre-show inspection of items and booths will be performed. Vendors with items violating contract terms WILL BE asked to remove them. Exhibitors must wear name badges. Determined Quality Level: 6
