Advertising Done for This Event
| Paid advertising will appear in Fox Valley Magazine, West Suburban Living Magazine, Daily Herald newspaper as well as on-line listings. Local publicity includes the City of West Chicago newsletter, City LED signage, street signs, posters, bilingual information postcards distributed through local businesses. Collaboration with the West Chicago Garden Club continues to attract visitors from throughout the Chicago Metropolitan Area. |
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
1. All types of handicrafts, art, photography, sculpture and jewelry are acceptable.
2. Tents, tables and chairs are not provided. Each vendor is responsible for own set-up, table, table covering and/or chair.
3. All tents must be weighted.
4. Booths must be manned between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
5. All display stands, tables, racks, shelves, etc., must be kept within the marked boundaries of each vendor's space. Please adhere to this rule out of consideration for other vendors and the general public.
6. All items for sale must be priced. Vendor must supply bags or wrappings and a written receipt for all purchases. Collection of State sales tax is the responsibility of each vendor.
7. Each vendor will be notified of space assignment and set-up time within 2 weeks prior to the fest.
8. Displays should not be removed before 3:00 p.m. Violation of this rule will prohibit vendor from next year's event.
9. Vendor parking is available at the West Chicago Park District, 157 W. Washington Street.
10. Vendor spaces are limited in each merchandise category and assigned on a first come basis.
11. No refunds due to inclement weather conditions. This is a rain or shine event.
12. Food vendors require additional $20 electrical fee in addition to temporary food service permit, available at DuPage County Health Department (630) 682-7400.
Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Vendors can share a booth. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from event premises. No receptacles provided. No Gas Generators. Canopies must be weighted down, no stakes allowed in ground. No Early Packup Allowed. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
