38th annual benefit for non-profit KPFA Radio; 225 booths of original work in any media from low end to high end; free shuttle from Civic Center BART Station 8th & Market Street MUNI bus stop (best way to get there), ample parking from $5-$15; broadcast live from the fair all day both days, food court with wide range of offerings. Loyal following as the show is well established. $10 door, $8 for over 65, disabled. Under 17 free, encouraging young people to learn to appreciate original work.

Advertising Done for This Event
| Radio, TV, Print ads, website, professional publicist, posters, 50,000 postcards, over $50k budget for publicity - by far biggest expense in producing this event. A big advantage we have is that the fair is well publicized over KPFA 94.1 fm listener-sponsored, community radio. |
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Common Rules Selected: Jury materials will be returned to you. Vendors can share a booth. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. Conditional Partial or Full Refunds by conditions such as date and whether your space is resold. Held Rain or Shine! No Gas Generators. Additional Lighting Recommended (bring lights and cords). No Early Packup Allowed. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
A multiple-person panel jury thoroughly reviews slides or photos and display.
All items must be entirely hand-made, no Embellishments only.
All items must be Fine Craft or Art.
Artist must be present day of show.
