Some correlations we ALREADY have statistical data for include:
    - More attractive people get sick fewer times per year.
    - Stay at home moms seems to have children with higher IQ's and that earn much higher salaries.
    - Breast feeding delays puberty, or not doing so accelerates its onset.
    - People who do more hours per day of close-up work are more likely to be myopic.
    - People with well defined brow ridges are more likely to have distinct canine teeth; and having either (1,2) makes it less likely to need your wisdom teeth extracted.
    - People not breast fed for at least a year tend to have more moles, more skin tags, and get sick more times per year. It does not seem to affect number of warts.
    - People breast fed for at least a year are less attractive to mosquitos.
    - Brest fed children are more likely to claim to be well socially adjusted.
    - Children have sex sooner in cities and later in the country.
    - etc. etc.

Description
Three times a year, two of the parking lots at Flamingo Gardens are be transformed into a fabulous place to shop for bargains.  The Benefit Flea Market, opens rain or shine from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with something for everyone and treasures of all kinds from new merchandise, to used and vintage items including jewelry, antiques, crafts, collectibles, yard sale goods all at fantastic bargain prices.  Be sure to stop by the Flamingo Gardens tent for the best deals.  Admission of $2 for ages 12 and up benefits Flamingo Gardens' programs.

Flamingo Gardens is a 60-acre paradise with botanical gardens, which houses and cares for permanently injured native birds and animals, and provides education programs for school and camp children.  A not-for-profit organization, it is supported solely by admissions, proceeds from events, donations, visitor purchases and memberships.  Visit the gardens at 3750 S Flamingo Road, Davie, just 2 miles south of I-596 on Flamingo Road.  For more information call  or visit http://www.flamingogardens.org and click on Upcoming Events.


Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Fee for the "same space" must be in by specified date, no exceptions will be made. All other spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis determined by the date of payment in full.  Spaces will be confirmed by e-mail or phone.  NO LATE APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED. Set-up begins 7 am. VEHICLES WILL NOT BE ADMITTED AFTER 8 AM.  Late arrivals must hand-carry all items to the space from the street.  All vehicles in the pavement lot must be unloaded and parked quickly to allow others to pass.  NO MOVING VEHICLES FROM 8:30 AM TO 2 PM.  YOU MUST STAY UNTIL THE 2 PM CLOSING.  Vendors must remove all rubbish. No disposal is provided by Flamingo Gardens.  

THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. This applies to no-shows and cancellation for any reason, including inclement weather. Bring a tent, canopy, or umbrella if you require shade, and plastic to cover your merchandise in case of showers. Vendors must bring their own tables and chairs.  No pets allowed.  Vendors must wear proper attire at all times (i.e., shirts, shoes, etc.).  Food is available in the courtyard. No outside food deliveries are allowed, and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited. Sales of food, beverages, live plants, or animals are NOT permitted.  Flamingo Gardens prohibits the sale of unsuitable or objectionable items including, but not limited to sexually explicit materials, fire arms, and items which promote violence, discrimination or illegal activities.  

Sales Tax: Vendors are responsible for their own sales and sales taxes.  All sales of new or used goods are subject to Florida sales tax. For forms or information, contact the FL Dept of Revenue at 1-800-352-3671.  Forms can be obtained by fax at 1-850-922-3676.


Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Vendors can share a booth. Vendors do not have to signup for all event dates. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from event premises. No receptacles provided. No Gas Generators. No Early Packup Allowed. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
