Event/Application Rules & Regulations
festival vendor information Vendors must understand that the Westwood Farmers Market is providing space for them to display and sell their items, and access to an existing group of people who shop the market each week. This is an inexpensive place to test and/or market your business. No guarantee is made regarding your sales. Feel free to visit the market or other festivals before you decide to take the risk of renting a space. This is no different than renting a commercial space, you are taking the risk and marketing your product. We hope you will do well, that our marketing reaches the people that want to buy your product.
Event hours are from 12 noon to 6 pm.
You may set-up starting at 10:30 am or after, but not later than 12 noon.
Please leave time to find it the first time, and traffic can be unpredictable in West L.A.
The festival is located between the parking lot and the farmers market, so every customer
walks right by the festival.
Though not required, a tent or some other way of outlining your space seems to help sales.
You should be prepared to attract people to your stand and your products -- providing samples, a good verbal method of bringing people close, and attractive and effective displays and products.
Spaces are assigned by the manager. We have ample space and can probably fit you in
even if you haven’t told us you are coming.
To avoid too much duplication and to ensure a selling space, please send your fees and application
in a week before the event.
There are flush toilets, some lighting, and hot food available.
We do not have any tables or tents or other equipment to lend you. Though these can be rented from other companies.
You can share a selling space if both have filled out an application and been approved. Vendors wishing exclusivity for their exact product (such as Arbonne products) may obtain that by paying
an additional 50% fee (rounded up to the nearest 5 dollars).
If you arrive fifteen minutes before opening or earlier, there is space to drive up to unload your vehicle (and often space for your vehicle nearby.)
In case of actual rain (not threatened rain) at the festival site, if you wish your funds may
be credited toward a future festival.
The festival is located at the “Getty” parking lot on the grounds of the VA (Veterans Affairs) . . . the nearest large intersection is Wilshire Blvd, and Sepulveda Blvd. There is a map on the website --- http://www.westwoodfarmersmarket.com/ The site is just off the 405 freeway (a couple of miles north of the 10 freeway). Coming from the North, exit the Wilshire WEST exit and then make an immediate left turn at Sepulveda Blvd. Go North on Sepulveda to Constitution Avenue (first signal) and turn left (under the freeway) and take the first right, onto Davis (just after the palm trees . . .
Coming from the South, exit at Montana and make a sharp right at the end of the offramp (onto Sepulveda). Make a right at the signal, Constitution Avenue, turn under the freeway, then right at the first street (just past the palm trees) onto Davis. The parking lot with the large white tent in it is where you should pull in, the sign will say “Farmers Market Parking”.

Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Vendors can share a booth. Vendors do not have to signup for all event dates. Conditional Partial or Full Refunds by conditions such as date and whether your space is resold. Held Rain or Shine! ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Additional Lighting Recommended (bring lights and cords). Vehicles can be left behind/in/near spot. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
