JOHN’S PASS CELEBRATES 27TH ANNUAL SEAFOOD FESTIVAL
MADEIRA BEACH, FL – For over a quarter-century, John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk has offered festivities for the whole family at the annual Seafood Festival. Dedicated to ‘Fishermen Lost at Sea,’ this year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
The many features of the event include an Arts Show with more than 50 local and regional artists, fresh local seafood, more than 125 unique shops, live music, a street dance in the village, a fishing expo, a haunted house and a children’s area. A children’s Halloween costume contest will take place on Saturday at 3 p.m, as well as trick or treating during the hours of the event. All participants in the costume contest will receive prizes, and the winner will receive a new bicycle. Florida Blood Services will also be on site to collect donations.
Parking for the festival is available both in John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk and off-site. The convenient, new 325-space parking structure is easily accessible from the 131st ave entrance to the Village. Additional parking is available at Madeira Beach Middle School with free shuttle service provided.
The Seafood Festival is organized by the John’s Pass Merchants Association. Sponsors include the St. Petersburg Times, Bright House Networks, the City of Madeira Beach, Great Bay Distributors, Travel Resort Services, Condos By Sirata and more.

Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Festival will provide space agreed upon.
. There will be a 25/75 SPLIT OF ALL FUNDS RECEIVED.
. All sales will be handled through tickets and they are to be turned in at a
designated day and time after the event to receive 75% return.
. Initial set up will be on Friday, October 29, after 3:00PM.
. Vendors must be ready at least ½ hour prior to Festival opening each day.
. Only one vendor per tent is allowed.
. All food vendors must be self contained.
. The Event is unable provide power, water or ice.
. Generators will be permitted.
. 24-hour security provided on Saturday night, however vendors are responsible
for their own property.
. Cooperation with local authorities is mandatory.
. Food vendors for must provide the proper licenses and proof of insurance naming
John’s Pass Village Association and the City of Madeira Beach as additionally
insured.
. The following items are prohibited for sale: Fire Arms, Alcohol, Obscene
Merchandise, and Illegal paraphernalia.
. VENDOR PARKING: Unload your product and then move your vehicle to the
Designated Parking Area, and then set up your display. One on site parking spot
will be available for each restaurant. Bus passes will be provided for all other help
or employees.
. All food must be under the tent provided.
. No glass containers will be allowed. (Paper vs. plastic where applicable)
. Supplies can be brought in each day.
a. Saturday 10/30 8:00AM – 10:00AM
b. Sunday 10/31 8:00AM – 10:00AM
. Supplies can not be brought in during Festival hours!
. Vendors must remain for the entire two-day event.
. Equipment, decorations, etc. may not be removed until after 6:00PM on Sunday,
10/31.
. Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting their own SALES TAX.
. Vendors must provide a CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY INSURANCE naming John’s
Pass Village Association and the City Of Madeira Beach as additional insured.
. All fees must be paid in full prior to the event.
. There will be no refunds due to no show, bad weather, cancellation, etc.
. Any changes to submitted menu must be approved by the restaurant
coordinator.
ALL THE ABOVE TERMS & CONDITIONS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Canopies must be weighted down, no stakes allowed in ground. No Early Packup Allowed. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
