Description
Treasure Chest Arts & Crafts Second Annual Autumn festival to be held Aug. 27-28-29 at the St. Charles Convention Center. Over 200 booths of unique, hand-made and one-of-a-kind items. Bluegrass and Gospel music, clarinetist Jerry Gottler, and Sit-Means-Sit dog trainers performing throughout the weekend. We have everything imaginable: scented candles, decor, florals, jewelry, clothing, wood items, doll furniture and clothing, ornaments, Sea Salt scrubs, fudge, and much, much more all  under one roof! Participants must register early as this show does fill quickly.  No corner booths available.  Some catagories have limited number of spaces. Discounts for registering before March 31, 2010.


Advertising Done for This Event
This show is heavily advertised on several radio stations, t.v channels 2,11 and 30 (at least one; all three if funding allows), Journal and Post newspapers in St. Charles, St. Louis, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Warren counties as well as nearby Illinois counties.  Magazine ads, web postings, fliers, mailers and e-mail data base.

Exhibitor Rules and Regulations

1.     Items that are handmade, hand crafted or of a craft nature are preferred.  A limited number of resale items allowed.  All vendors of resale items will be placed together and not intermixed with crafters selling hand-made items.  Absolutely NO flea market or garage sale type items allowed. We reserve the right to reject items we find in poor taste or any person who does not conform to the regulations. All Exhibitors must submit 3 photos of your products, including one photo of display. Photos will be kept on file.
**FOOD VENDORS – SEE NOTE BELOW**
2.     Electricity is available upon request. $60 if paid with booth fees, $90 if added on later.  Exhibitors must have a surge protected power strip (type S or SJ) UL approved for multiple outlet requirements.
3.     Show set-up is Friday, Aug. 27th, beginning at 9:00am. Food vendors must be ready by 1:00pm for inspections. All displays must be ready by 1:30pm. Tables must be covered to the floor, on all sides. Display must be neat and attractive.  Candle burning is not allowed. Exhibitors are responsible for the clean up of their exhibit area.
4.     Booth spaces are assigned in the order the applications are received. Applications must include full payment to be considered complete. Special requests must be in writing and will be honored to the best of the promoter’s ability. We reserve the right to assign or relocate any booth as necessary. Do not sublet spaces to anyone without permission.
5.     Exhibitors should refrain from early breakdown of booths, removal of inventory, or loading of vehicles until the show has been officially closed at 4:00pm on Sunday.
6.     All applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Workers under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Exhibitor assumes all responsibility/liability for any loss, theft, damage or personal injury occurrence inside or in front of your booth that requires an insurance claim. Treasure Chest Arts & Crafts Shows LLC will not assume any responsibility or liability for damage, theft or personal injury incurred directly or indirectly as a result of the show.
7.     Missouri State Sales Tax collection and disbursement is the responsibility of the exhibitor.
8.     All fees are non-refundable. Charge per returned check is $50.00.
9.     Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of your confirmation packet. Packets will be mailed about 2 weeks prior to the show and will include your booth space number and other detailed information. If no envelope is included, your confirmation will be e-mailed to you.
10.     Management requires all exhibitors and their co-workers to park in designated parking areas only. This is mandatory.

**NOTE FOR FOOD VENDORS**: Food and beverage for consumption on premises is not allowed.  If selling a food or beverage product, samples may be no greater than 2 oz. Items must be manufactured, processed and distributed by the exhibiting firm and must be related to participation in the exhibiting event.  Additionally, all unsealed products require a health permit. Securing of all necessary licenses and/or permits is the responsibility of the exhibitor. Exhibitors are responsible for complying with all St. Charles & St. Charles County Health Department regulations regarding food sampling, storage, equipment, temperatures, etc. If an exhibitor is not in compliance or does not obtain the proper licenses and/or permits, the Health Department can shut down the booth. All food vendors must be ready for inspection by 1:00pm Friday. For further information, please request a Food & Beverage Vendor Packet from the show Promoter.


Common Rules Selected: No Refunds. Show Credits available by condition. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. Additional Lighting Recommended (bring lights and cords). No Early Packup Allowed. Floor Length Table Cloth Required. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.

When Traveling From The East

(St. Louis/Airport):

Take Interstate 70 West over the bridge to St. Charles. Take the second exit after the bridge, 5th Street South (Exit 229A), and go to the first light at Veterans Memorial Parkway and make a right. Go 1 mile to the light at Fairgrounds Road. The Convention Center will be immediately on your left. Make a left onto Fairgrounds Road and enter to the rear of the complex.



When Traveling From The Southeast

(Clayton / Kirkwood):

Take Interstate 270 North to Highway 364 (Page Road). Go West on 364 (Page Road Extension) approximately 6 miles and take the second exit after the bridge (St. Charles).  When exiting at the St. Charles exit, stay to the right to get on Highway 94.  Highway 94 intersects Veterans Memorial Parkway just before Interstate 70. Turn right and head East on Veterans Memorial Parkway. Go one mile and turn right on Beverly Street. The Convention Center will be immediately on your left.
  
When Traveling From The West

(Kansas City):

Take Interstate 70 East to St. Charles. Take the 5th Street exit (Exit 229) and veer right at the end of the ramp.  Go to the first light at Veterans Memorial Parkway and make a right. Go one mile to the light at Fairgrounds Road. The Convention Center will be immediately on your left. Make a left onto Fairgrounds Road and enter to the rear of the complex.



When Traveling From The Southwest:

Take Interstate 64/ State Highway 40 to State Highway 94. Go North on Highway 94 to St. Charles. Highway 94 (First Capitol) intersects Veterans Memorial Highway just before Interstate 70. Turn right and head East on Veterans Memorial Parkway. Go one mile and turn right on Beverly Street. The Convention Center will be immediately on your left.



When Traveling From The North:

Take the Interstate 270 loop to Interstate 70 and head West.  Take the second exit after the bridge, 5th Street South (Exit 229A), and go to the first light at Veterans Memorial Parkway and make a right. Go 1 mile to the light at Fairgrounds Road. The Convention Center will be immediately on your left.
