Description
21st Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts. A premiere juried show with first class entertainment and world class arts and craft exhibits. The festival is designed to inspire an apreciation for quality art forms and award scholarships to local students desiring higher education. We are very proud that since the beginning of the festival in 1987 the proceeds have assisted the community in educating, entertaining and promoting goodwill as well as supporting the fine arts.

Event/Application Rules & Regulations
RULES & REGULATIONS

1. ALL ENTRIES WILL BE JURIED. Entrants are required to submit four slides plus 4 photos of their artwork and displays and resume. Artists may enter in more than 1 category, however, application, slides and fees must be submitted for each category. Each slide must have applicant’s name thereon.
2. DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS September 1, 2007.  Artists must submit application, slides, photos, $25 jury fee, $200 application fee, ($400.00 for double booth spaces) and a self-addressed and stamped envelope to the Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts post office box address.
3. Award winners from the 2006 Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts need not send slides and jury fee if applying in the same category as the previous year award. Only the application, $200.00 (or $400 double booth) application fee, and self-addressed stamped envelope should be submitted to the Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts post office box address.  Artist’s checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged a $30.00 fee.
4. All entrants will be notified of their acceptance or rejection on or about September 15, 2007.  Slides will be returned along with a letter of acceptance or rejection in the artist supplied self-addressed and stamped envelope. When the exhibitor has received notification of acceptance, the commitment to show will be official. No refunds will be made due to cancellation by the Artist.
5. No art supplies, picture frames, commercial photography, kits, commercial patterns, coin jewelry, or works cast in commercial molds, mass produced items or buy/resell will be accepted or displayed.
6. Exhibit spaces measure approximately 12’ x 12’  The Artist must stay within the allotted space.  No tarps are permitted beyond the booth area.  Electricity and water will not be provided to any artist.  No generators allowed.
7. All exhibitors must check in at Registration to obtain a booth card before they set up their exhibit. A booth identification card must be attached to the upper left front corner of the display space at all times during the show.  Space is defined as space only. Artist must provide booth frames, tents, or support structures.
8. BOOTH SETUP time will be allowed on Friday before the festival from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm This will be the only time artists will be allowed access to their booth space to unload. Saturday setup between 7:00 am and 8:30 am will require the artist to hand carry artwork and displays to the booth space. Artists will be allowed access to their booth space on Sunday after the festival ends in order to breakdown and load their art and displays.  Bring you own sandbags, NO stakes in the tarmac!
9. SECURITY WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE BOOTH SPACE ON FRIDAY,  SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.  SECURITY IS NOT PROVIDED FOR ARTWORK.
10. WITHOUT EXCEPTION: ARTIST’S VEHICLES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON SITE FOR THE DURATION OF THE FESTIVAL AFTER 6:00 pm ON FRIDAY. County regulations prohibit overnight parking on the premises.
11. All artwork must be set up by 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Artists who are not set up in their spaces by 8:30 am on November 3, 2007, will lose their spaces to alternates. No Shows must inform the Festival Committee on or before Friday, November 2, 2007. Failure to do so will disqualify them from being accepted in any future LMH Art Festivals. Any person closing their space before 5:00 pm Sunday will also be disqualified from future shows and will relinquish all rights to prize money.
12. Artist must be present, No Stand-in Exhibitors, Dealers, Agents or Wholesalers. The Committee reserves the right to ask any exhibitor for indentification. There will be only one artist permitted to exhibit in a space. All work must be attributed solely to the displaying artist. All works must be for sale or available for commission. NO DISPLAYS CONTAINING MANUFACTURED - BUY/RESELL ITEMS.
13. Displays will be viewed by the Viewing Committee at intervals throughout the Festival. The Viewing Committee shall have the sole discretion to require the removal of work which violates Festival rules.  Artists violating any Festival rule must remove their exhibit immediately. No Fees will be refunded to the artist.
14. Collection of the 7% Florida Sales Tax on all sales is the sole responsibility of each exhibitor.
15. Regulations prohibit pets on the Festival site. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS.


Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with enough postage for the jury materials you are sending to be returned to you. Send 1 SASE - Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with standard postage. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. White Canopies Only. Canopies must be weighted down, no stakes allowed in ground. Table Cloth or Drape Required. Send 1 SASE - Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with standard postage. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
