Some correlations we ALREADY have statistical data for include:
    - More attractive people get sick fewer times per year.
    - Stay at home moms seems to have children with higher IQ's and that earn much higher salaries.
    - Breast feeding delays puberty, or not doing so accelerates its onset.
    - People who do more hours per day of close-up work are more likely to be myopic.
    - People with well defined brow ridges are more likely to have distinct canine teeth; and having either (1,2) makes it less likely to need your wisdom teeth extracted.
    - People not breast fed for at least a year tend to have more moles, more skin tags, and get sick more times per year. It does not seem to affect number of warts.
    - People breast fed for at least a year are less attractive to mosquitos.
    - Brest fed children are more likely to claim to be well socially adjusted.
    - Children have sex sooner in cities and later in the country.
    - etc. etc.

Fall is right around the corner! Spend the day at The Fabulous Fox Island September Indoor/Outdoor Market!  Browse from local crafters and artisans for goodies galore. Free admission, free parking and win fabulous Free Door Prizes! We have a large playground for the kiddies, too!

Event/Application Rules & Regulations
INSIDE SPACES: We will provide you with one table that measures 3 feet by 6 feet.  We also have metal folding chairs at no extra cost if you need them. The tables will be set up in both classrooms and in the auditorium of the Nichols Community Center.  OUTSIDE: All outside spaces are 10' x 10'. You must provide your own table for any outside spaces. You must also provide your own canopy or tent for outside spaces.

The outside spaces are first-come, first served. The inside spaces will be marked with your name on them if you have made a reservation. You must supply your own change.   We do have electrical outlets if you need electricity. Please bring your own extension cord. All vendors are asked to donate an item for our Free Door Prize drawings that are held throughout the day.

You may choose and/or set up your table on Saturday, September 18, 2010 between 7:00am - 9:30am. FICRA is not responsible for any theft or damage of any materials, merchandise or equipment left on site. Your space must be completely dismantled no later than 5:00pm on the day of the event. Please clean up and take with you any trash that you generate during this event. We have no garbage service at the Nichols Community Center.

The Indoor Market is part of FICRA's fund raising activities to raise money for the continued maintenance and operation of the Nichols Community Center.  Therefore, the cost to participate in the Market is $20.00 per INSIDE table; or $25.00 per OUTSIDE space.   The vendor fee must be received no later than September 16, 2010 to insure your reservation. No shows and cancellations will not be refunded. Please make your check or money order payable to “FICRA”.  Your cancelled check is your receipt.

No animals are allowed inside the building. Do NOT bring your pet.
Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. A percentage of vendors are cycled out each year to maintain freshness. Vendors can share a booth. Vendors do not have to signup for all event dates. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from event premises. No receptacles provided. No Gas Generators. No Early Packup Allowed. Raffle / Door Prize Donation Required. Table Cloth or Drape Required. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Vehicles can not be brought near stand for un/loading. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.

All product types to be sold must be listed on application.

Driving Directions
From the Tacoma Narrows Bridge the total distance is 14.0 miles.
The estimated total driving time from the bridge is 33 minutes.

From Tacoma, cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
Continue on State Route 16, going west.
Take the third exit off the right side of highway.
Turn left. Go over highway overpass.
Follow the road signs that direct you to Fox Island.
You will pass the Gig Harbor Grange on your right.
You will pass Artondale Elementary School on your right.
Turn left onto 70th Avenue NW.
Turn right onto 32nd Street NW.
Road name changes to Warren Drive NW.
Keep left and cross the   Fox Island Bridge
Follow Island Boulevard to 9th Avenue.
Turn left onto 9th Avenue.
Go down a steep hill.  You will come to a stop sign.
Nichols Community Center will be on the left. It is a large, one story gray building with white trim.  You will see a playground in back of the building.
