Description
This is the 23rd Midwestern Herb and Garden Show, Times Square Mall, 42nd and Broadway, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864 Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 pm and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.  Free admission, Free educational seminars.  Region 1 Illinois Gourd Society (Wilsons Gourds, Karen and Paul Wilson and Sharon Edwards) Seminar Making Gourd Birdhouses FRiday Feb. 11 at noon,  Saturday Gourd Workshop at 6 p.m. making Gourd container to hold herbs.  Wilsons vendors too and have booth with gourd art.
Main speakers are Pat Lanza \"Lasagna Gardening\" who is giving free seminars on Friday and Saturday, and Dianne Noland, horticulture instructor in the University of Illinois Department of Natural Resources giving free seminars one \"Floral Designs to Music\".  Lots of other free seminars for the public:  Blacksmithing History, Gourds, Herbal Mustards and Vinegars, Herbal Skin Care, Uses for Sage, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle in the Garden, etc.  All three days free seminars, and lots of vendors with seeds, plants, herbs, books, garden art, pottery, gourds, etc. Great educational fun for whole family.
