TICA Cat Show Presented by the Heart of Texas Cat Club
Our first year in Killeen!
February 11 and 12, 2012
Entries close Monday, February 7th
Check In: Saturday 7:30 - 8:30 am. Show starts promptly at 9:00 am both days. Advertised show hours are 9:00 to 4:00 each day.
Awards: Ribbons, plaques and rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA Show Rules.
Benching: One adult or two kittens allowed per single cage space. Each entry will be provided with one cage space which measures 22"H X 22"D X 25"W and is half of a show cage. Extra half cages may be obtained for $20.00 and will convert the cage to 22"H X 22"D X 54"W. We recommend cages be covered on sides, back and top. If you are bringing your own show cage you will need to purchase the additional half cage space.
Clerks: Please indicate on the summary sheet if you are interested in clerking. Licensed Ring Clerks will be compensated $25.00 per day. All clerks will be provided with lunch and a marked catalog.
Services: Litter will be provided. Bring your own litter pans, cat food and food bowls.
Vendors: Limited booth space will be available. Call the show managers for information.
Health Requirements: This is a non-vetted show: All cats must be in good health. Cats showing signs of earmites, fungus, or any illness will not be permitted in the show hall. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and feline enteritis and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any cat which is obviously pregnant or lactating will be disqualified. All claws (front and back) must be clipped prior to judging. The state of Texas requires Rabies vaccinations. Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination if asked.
Registration: With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in the cat's first show. However, to be scored for TICA titles and Regional/International awards, all cats must be registered by their second show. Please contact TICA for registration forms and information.
Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Declawed Household Pets may be shown at TICA shows. This is due to the number of HHPs that are rescue cats and may have already been declawed at the time of rescue. Household pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are unsure of your cat's color or division, please send a color photo of your cat with your entry.
Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information and forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website at http://www.tica.org.
Liability: Heart of Texas Cat Club cannot be held responsible for injury, loss or damage to cats, exhibitors or personal property of exhibitors or vendors or other such persons or property in attendance.
Online entries are available, but entry fees must be mailed immediately after submitting the forms. Fees from online must be received within 5 days of entry.
