One of the best Craft Fairs in Southwest Florida!  Is a part of the famous Edison Festival of Light festivities, which includes three weeks of events to celebrate the life and achievements of our most famous winter resident, Thomas Edison.  Event is located in most beautiful part of downtown Fort Myers, right on the river in Centennial Park.  There are over 200,000 people in the area on Saturday night for the Grand Parade and 5K race.
Named One of North America\'s Top 100 Events and One of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast, the 70th Edison Festival of Light celebrates innovation and the Quality of Life in Southwest Florida from January 26th to February 17th. Major events include the Light Up the Town Block Party, Edison Day of Discovery Family Event and the Southeast\'s largest night time Parade on February 17th which attracts and estimated audience of over 100,000 guests each year. The three day Craft on the River program is the featured artisan show of the Festival and is presented on February 15, 16 & 17, 2008. This event will attract an audience of over 25,000 guests to a beautiful waterfront venue in Downtown Fort Myers. A major marketing campaign brings guests from across South Florida as well as many of the winter residents to review artisans and enjoy exceptional regional performers at a variety of featured events. Centennial Park is transformed into a craft lovers dream with 100 exhibitors displaying their hand-crafts during the three-day Edison Festival event. Unique, handmade items can be found from all over at our craft festival. Jewelry, quilts, note cards, pottery, sculptures, decorative accessories and more will be at this special event. Please go to Applications Section of the Website to make your application for participation in this exceptional program.

Saturday commemorates the 71st Grand Parade of Light that is routed along Crafts on the River.

Sunday will be the 2nd Annual Cars and Crafts. Edwards Drive will be lined with over 200 Classic GM Cars. All proceeds will go to Harry Chapin Food Bank. For information on how to enter your car, contact the Festival office at 334-2999.

Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
