Description
Meet John Barricelli, chef, author, and host of television's Everyday Baking at the Greenwich Historical Society on Tuesday, June 14, from 10:00 to noon for a tasting, book talk and signing of TheSoNo Baking CompanyCookbook. Hear about his career highlights, favorite recipes and participation in local farmers' markets. You'll even get to sample some of his baked goods. John Barricelli began his career 30 years ago at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. He earned his chops at several prestigous restaurants in New York, at his own restaurant in Brooklyn and, more locally, at the Elms Restaurant & Tavern in Ridgefield, CT. Martha Stewart clearly recognized a man of many talents when she hired John for Martha Stewart Living Productions. He quickly moved from working behind the scenes to becoming a featured chef on Martha Stewart's Everyday Food television show and subsequently host of Everyday Baking. In July 2005, John opened the SoNo Baking Company & Caf in South Norwalk. The SoNo Baking Company Cookbook allows readers to recreate many of the same artisanal breads, delectable cakes and delicate pastries that continue to inspire rave reviews from John's burgeoning following. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 10:00 am to noon Vanderbilt Education Center, 39 Strickland Road, Cos Cob, CT Admission is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
