Description
Art Market is a part of a larger event, The Berea Labor Day Oktoberfest in Berea, Ohio. We have organized an art & craft show Saturday - Monday at the event.
We will have artist demonstrations each day from 1pm - 4pm. Our art demonstrations will feature artist Diane Gambassi from Pittsburgh Pa with Treasures In Glass (1pm), Ginger Wankewycz from Brooklyn Ohio with Ginger Folds & Fine Art demonstrating hand carved linoleum block printing, Marci Bone of MZ Beads demonstrating Kumihimo Braiding (3 pm)and Ed Hrncir of Brooklyn Hts. demonstrating wood carving at 4 pm.

Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Jury fees are due on or before May 1, 2008 for consideration.
2. Application Fees of accepted artists are due by June 15, 2008. Booth fees for six (6) selected demonstration artists will be waived.
3. Inperson interviews will be scheduled in May.
4. Enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope with enough postage to return materials submitted for notification.
5. Refunds will be issued until July 15, 2008 less handling charges of $30.00. After that date refunds or show credits will not be issued for any reason.
6. Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own booths, tables, chairs and other props unless indicated otherwise on their forms.
7. Exhibitor vehicles must be off the Midway one (1) hour before show start.
8. Exhibitors are asked to keep their area clean of debris.
9. Exhibitors are responsible for removing unsold merchandise at the close of business on Monday, September 1, 2008.
10. Exhibitors are expected to stay until the end of the event each day, as indicated on page 8.
11. The Berea Labor Day Oktoberfest Inc., The Berea Fine Art Club, and Northcoast Promotions, Inc., their staff, agents, representatives, and volunteers will not be held responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property of exhibitors, their representatives, customers, or any other person and/or damage or injury to any person participating in this event for any reason.
Common Rules Selected: Include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with enough postage for the jury materials you are sending to be returned to you. Send 1 SASE - Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with standard postage. Vendors can share a booth. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Additional Lighting Recommended (bring lights and cords). Pets OK! No Early Packup Allowed. Floor Length Table Cloth Required. Send 1 SASE - Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with standard postage. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
A multiple-person panel jury thoroughly reviews slides or photos and display.
All items must be entirely hand-made, no Embellishments only.
Limited number of Artists per category.
Artist must be present day of show.
Floor length table cloths required.
No plain, flat table displays. Tiers, levels, or shelves required on them.
All product types to be sold must be listed on application.
Pre-show inspection of items and booths will be performed.
Vendors with items violating contract terms WILL BE asked to remove them.
In person Jury process � you must show up at a designated time with products and booth photos.
