The Veterans Affairs of Dawson County, Dawson County Chamber of Commerce, Dawsonville and Dawson County Officials will hold its 3rd Annual Veterans Day Celebration, November 11th in downtown Dawsonville.
The Veterans Day National Committee approved Dawsonville as a 2007 Veterans Day Regional Site. Atlanta and Dawsonville are the only two Regional Sites in Georgia to receive this honor.
The parade line up will begin at the Dawson County Library at 2:00 pm and begin at 3:00 p.m.
Formal ceremonies will be held at the Dawsonville Municipal Complex at 4:00 pm. There will ba a Master of Ceremony and keynote speaker.
Veterans and active military personnel from all wars and all branches will be honored as well as local Dawson County Law Enforcement, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.
The public is invited to attend this event and show support for our Veterans.
A private banquet will be held for our Veterans and their spouses after the formal ceremony.
