Description
Are you tired of your normal, ho hum life? Do you have an open mind? What other possibilities exist that you can explore to enhance your life? This fair helps the participant explore alternate methods of looking at life other than the normally accepted version. Each fair is different some vendors come to each fair, and some drift in and out. Come explore, you never know what you might find, items to buy or a chance to purchase services in a comfortable, safe setting.

Some of the items that you might find to learn about and/or purchase are aromatherapy, essential oils, herbs in personal care items, jewelry, candles, natural makeup, metaphysical supplies, Native American work, stones, crystals, divining rods, pendulums, runes, health care supplements and drinks,

Some services that are available might be Chakra; massage therapy; Reiki; Psychic Mediums, Palm and Tarot Card reading and energy sessions for your mind and your body, as well as your pets..

This fair focuses only on light and good, nothing dark or evil.

Only positive energy allowed, please leave any negativity at the door.

Advertised in several web sites including Craig s List and Pagan websites. Also in local newspapers, and circulars including the weekly "Whats Happening" insert that appears in the Friday paper. Also found in the Inner Tapestry magazine.

Show Information--Rules and Guidelines

DATE, TIME & LOCATION: The show will be November 7, 2009 from 10 to 4 at The American Legion Post 205
Veterans Memorial, 400 Eastern Avenue, Augusta, Maine, (Directions are available at my website http://theenchanteddragon.shutterfly.com/holisticmysticfair)
ENTRIES: The show is open to all Holistic Service Providers and artists or craftsmen with original work. (Christmas Items, New Age Items, Gems, Stones, Oils, Herbs or any appropriate Naturalistic Items)

SPACE: Space will be available in two sizes, 8 foot or 12 foot. If you are sharing a space with another vendor, you must have at least a 12 foot booth unless all your items fit on one table.

FEES: SPACE: $50 per 8’ space, $75 per 12’ space—A limited amount of 8 foot tables are available at no cost, first come first serve

LIMITED VENDORS: Vendors will be limited so as not to have an overabundance of similar vendors. For this reason either contact me to make sure that slots are available or be aware that your application might be returned if this section is full. Maximum amount on vendors for services will be Psychic/mediums=3, Reiki=2, Tarot card readers 2, Seated Massage Therapist 2, Animal Communicator, 2, Medical Intuitive 2, any other specialist no more than 2. Accepting only one company representative for vendors selling products .i.e. Young Living, Arbonne, Mia Bella, etc.

SET UP TIME: Doors will be open for set up at 8 a.m. Please have merchandise inside the building 1 hour before the doors open and vehicles moved to their proper place.

BREAK DOWN TIME: Booths may not be broken down any earlier than 15 minutes before closing time unless an emergency or previous arrangements are made. This will allow people coming into the show late to have the complete experience. If you need to leave early for a pre-arranged departure, your area will be located in a less obtrusive spot to limit disruption to customers.

REQUIREMENTS: You may bring your own tables and chairs, or use ones available at the site. You must supply your own table cloths. Power at the site is limited. If you require electricity, depending where you are located you will need to provide you own 50 ft heavy duty electrical cords & power strips are highly recommended. No small extension cords for long distances. Cords must be covered with duct tape, provided by you. Tape must be removed from the floor, by you at the end of the show.

PARKING: Unload cars, vans, trucks, etc. & move immediately to the parking area. Do not move your vehicles to the door until the show closes and you have finished packing.

CHECKS & REFUNDS: Make checks payable to MARY ALDERMAN. No refunds unless show is canceled. IF THE LOCATION NEEDS TO BE MOVED, REFUNDS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. FEE FOR RETURNED CHECK--$25.00

APPLICATIONS: Vendor forms are attached and may be copied if you need more forms. Fill in ALL information & return with payment. Applications must be signed and returned with the fee.

SHOW POSTERS: Participants are asked to put up posters for the shows they are attending to help get the information out.

FOOD: The kitchen will be open at 9:00 A.M. and run by Jessica Alderman.

ADVERTISING: The shows will be advertised in local media, PSA on local radio, Kennebec Journal’s upcoming events, as well as their weekly What’s Happening that comes out on Fridays, Inner Tapestry and posters around town.
Common Rules Selected: Vendors can share a booth. Vendors do not have to signup for all event dates. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. Pets OK! No Early Packup Allowed. Table Cloth or Drape Required. Food Service will take orders from and deliver to vendor booths. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
