Major CT Fair! Listed in Yankee Magazine Travel Guide as a top 20 summer event in CT for 2008. County fair known for it's great national entertainment and family activities, including large educational hands on activities relating to agriculture for kids and adults! This years national acts include Darryl Worley, performing on Thursday, Aug. 21, Joe Diffie performing Friday, August 22 and CMA recording artists group of the year, Lady Antebellum performing Saturday, August 23rd. Record dollar amounts spent on entertainment and marketing for the 2008 fair. Will be featured on CBS channel 3's "Better Connecticut" morning show in August.
Oldest continuously active agricultural fair in the United States. Highlight events include ox and horse pulls, draft horses, livestock shows, home and garden exhibits, live entertainment, historical displays, special daily events, carnival. Main Stage featuring national recording artists Darryl Worley, Joe Diffie and Lady Antebellum. Center Stage featuring regional bands performing rock, country, etc. Playland Stage featuring children's entertainment, The Mad Scientist, magician, talent show, Little Miss/Mr. Brooklyn Fair pageant. Memory Lane stage featuring local and old time favorites.
Activities
New expanded "Fiber Nook", animal and mechanical pulls, children's playland featuring Farmer For a Day activities. Livestock barns, the favorite piglet pen, donkeys, llamas, rabbits and poultry, home and garden, too many to list!! new farmers market featuring the "Taste of Windham"

Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Early Packup Allowed. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.

All product types to be sold must be listed on application.
