The Christmas Crafts Expos over 30 years old are held the first two weekends in December. Over 150 different Exhibitors each weekend. Direct mail, print, TV and Billboard advertising. The Expos offer something for everyone at every price range. No buy/sell, no imports.
Only quality Exhibitors need apply. This year new rules have been implemented. Please read all show rules carefully before applying to the shows.
Arts & Crafts Festivals, Inc.Presents...CHRISTMAS CRAFTS EXPOS I & IICONNECTICUT EXPO CENTER, HARTFORD, CTNovember 30, December 1, 2 and December 7, 8, 9, 2007These two shows are always held the first two weekends in December. They are different shows and feature over 250 different Exhibitors each weekend. Show Hours are: Friday, Noon to 9:00P.M., Saturday 10:00A.M. TO 6:00P.M., Sunday, 10:00A.M. TO 5:00P.M.Expected Attendance: 12,000 (each weekend)Paid Admission showBooth Fees: $420.00 - $650.00, Number of Exhibitors - 250 Exhibitors Each Weekend.Electric Available, Table Rental Available, Pipe and drape provided behind your booth. Colors of drape are red, white or green depending on location.Free Exhibitor parking in designated parking area. Room available for Motor Homes (must be self contained)Move-in day is the Thursday before the show, either November 29, or December 6. Designated times are given for move-in on Thursday based on your booth location. Hours of move-in are from 9:30am to 6:00pm. On Thursday you may drive into the building to your booth location. If you do not wish to move-in on Thursday, you may move-in on Friday from 8:00am to 11:00am. You must however, dolly to your booth. You may not drive into the building.THE ABOVE SHOWS ARE JURIED SHOWS.ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVALS, INC. SHOW RULESExhibitor applicants agree to abide by and be subject to the following \"Show Rules\" as a condition of application for acceptance as an exhibitor.1. A RESERVATION IS A COMMITMENT TO SHOW. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER ACCEPTANCE OF AN APPLICATION. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.3. All crafts displayed must be the created work product of the exhibitor and/or members of the exhibition family. Commercially manufactured items may not be displayed or otherwise offered for sale.4. Exhibitors may not rent and/or sublet booth space nor may they act as agents or dealers for other craftsmen or manufacturers.5. Arts & Crafts Festivals, Inc. continues to reserve its right to reject any applicant at will. In clarification of this rule and for purpose of informing potential applicants, experience causes the promoter to make it clear that crafted items whose dominant features consist of dried flowers, beaded jewelry, shells, magnetic devices or mixed media will be closely juried and will be likely to be rejected consistent with the promoter\'s intent to maintain and preserve the quality of each show. Please note in this regard that the application fee of $10.00 is not refundable, in case of rejection, but is credited to total fees of the exhibitor upon acceptance.6. Contracts must be signed before acceptance. Any misrepresentation may result in the removal of an exhibitor from the show. Proof of originality rests with exhibitor. Booth displays and media may be floor juried at any time during any show. If applicant has been accepted to more than one show and does not pass the initial floor jury, applicant will be refunded booth fee for any future shows to which he has been accepted. If it is found that the application has been deliberately misrepresented and in fact the exhibitor is offering for sale the works of others no refunds will be made. Arts & Crafts Festivals, Inc. reserves the right to request and cause the removal of work and/or items which in the sole judgment of the promoter, violates any show rule or rules. Failure to comply with any request to remove items or work from display or to cease and desist from offering offending products for sale may result in removal of an exhibitor from the show. No commercially produced items may be sold.7. Exhibitors will be subject to local and state regulation ordinances. Booth displays must meet all local and/or state fire regulations and in the case of indoor shows, display material must be fireproof. No open flames are allowed without receipt of written permission from the Hartford Fire Marshall in advance of show time.8. Exhibitors must obtain all tax (sales, etc), vendor or other permits as required by local or state authorities at there own expense. To request a CT tax number, please write Conn. Sales & Use Tax Dept., 25 Sigourney Street, Hartford, Connecticut 06106.9. Exhibitors must maintain a professional manner in selling and in display. SALE SIGNS & SHOW SPECIAL SIGNS ARE PROHIBITED AND EXCESS STOCK MUST BE STORED OUT OF SIGHT.10. There is no liability to promoters for failure to provide any special requests made by exhibitors. There are limited corner spaces. Refund for corner will be given if corner is not available.11. Checks returned for insufficient funds will be considered a show cancellation but said exhibitor will still be responsible for payment of a $20.00 returned check fee.12. Arts & Crafts Festivals, Inc. reserves the right to amend and/or add to the applicable Rules pertaining to and governing each show at any time prior to the commencement of said show. Additions or amendments will be circulated to exhibitors in writing. The interpretation of all rules by the promoter shall be final.13. EXHIBITORS WHO FAIL TO APPEAR BY THE OPENING HOUR OF A SHOW FORFEIT THEIR RIGHT TO EXHIBIT. EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE FOR LATE ARRIVAL IF THE PROMOTER IS NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE.14. Arts and Crafts Festivals, Inc. cannot be held liable for failure to perform or fulfill its contractual obligation provided such failure is caused, occasioned, or impeded by closures of site locations due to any cause including, but not limited to, acts of God, strikes, lawful or not, fire, smoke and water damage, or actions by legal authorities, etc. Nor shall the promoter be responsible for loss or damage of exhibitors\' wares, exhibits, or personal property or for loss or injury caused by products sold or exhibited by exhibitors directly or through warranty, express or implied. Insurance for such loss, damages, or injury shall be the sole responsibility of each exhibitor at his own cost. Loss of exhibitor products by theft is a loss liability of said exhibitor with no recourse to show directors or site owners for this loss.ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVALS, INC. is pleased to present their 2006 schedule of crafts festivals for Connecticut. SHOW RULES

Exhibitor applicants agree to abide by and be subject to the following "Show Rules" as a condition of application for acceptance as an exhibitor.

1. Each applicant wishing to participate in shows promoted by Arts & Crafts Festivals, Inc. shall submit with the application, six (6) slides or pictures depicting accurate representation of the applicant's media(s) which will be exhibited and offered for sale at the subject show. One slide of the applicant's overall display or booth area must be included among the six slides submitted. However, a booth photo may be substituted in lieu of slide. All exhibitors must send slides even if you have exhibited with Arts & Crafts Festivals, Inc. in previous years. Also, a photo of your work area or studio must be included. All slides or photos submitted with an application may be used by the promoter or his authorized representatives for publicity purposes provided the application is accepted. Slides must be standard 2"x2" including mount. All slides will be returned provided a self-addressed, stamped envelope is included with each application whether or not the application is accepted. Insurance for such loss, damages, or injury shall be the sole responsibility of each exhibitor at his own cost. Loss of exhibitor products by theft is a loss liability of said exhibitor with no recourse to show directors or site owners for this loss.

Common Rules Selected: Jury materials will be returned to you. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. Additional Lighting Recommended (bring lights and cords). No Early Packup Allowed. Floor Length Table Cloth Required. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.

All items must be mostly hand made, no minor Embellishments only.
Limited number of Artists per category.
Floor length table cloths required.
All product types to be sold must be listed on application.
Vendors with items violating contract terms WILL BE asked to remove them.
