An annual event since 1975 sponsored by the Kinderhook Business and Professional Association (KBPA).
The Kindercrafter Fair is designed to raise funds for community charities and to kick off the summer festivities in the historic Village of Kinderhook. The day includes many other events taking place in the Village. Such as: 5K Road Race, Farmers Market, Ichabod Crane Art Department exhibit, Kinderhook Memorial Library Book Sale, Kinderhook Reformed Church Pancake Breakfast, Free tours of the James Vanderpoel House, Live Music, and a Bouncy Ride for the kids. Event/Application Rules & Regulations
All applications are juried at the same time. Please try to have your entry postmarked no later then March 31, 2014. Entries received after the deadline will be considered as space allows.
All items must be hand crafted by the artisan, no manufactured, imported, or made by someone else, will not be permitted.
We will not allow vehicles for set up after 9 AM, as fair officially opens at 10 AM. You are set up on pavement so you will not be able to use stakes. Bring weights to secure your tent.Common Rules Selected:
Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with enough postage for the jury materials you are sending to be returned to you. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. Held Rain or Shine! Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Canopies must be weighted down, no stakes allowed in ground. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules:
All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
A single-person or more panel jury reviews slides or photos and display.
All items must be entirely hand-made, no Embellishments only.
All items must be entirely hand-made by the artist alone.
Artist must be present day of show.
Floor length table cloths required.
