Although I may not look like a "grammy" I do make preserves the old-fashioned way like my great-grandma did.  It was about 5 years ago that I aquired her recipes and, through loving her jams and pickles, I started making them.  And well it became an addiction.  My family can't believe how everything tasted like how she made them and encouraged me to sell them.  So here I am.  My secret is this:  I use fruits and veggies from nearby farms as well as goods from the nearest Amish Market.  The proof is in the pudding when it comes to taste.  Although I always have samples available at my craft show but the only way to describe my preserves here is that they taste better than fresh fruit due to the flavor and hard work that goes into each batch I personally make.  So, I encourage everyone to not just take my word for it - try it, you'll like it!
