Craft Description: TaleWeavers is committed to preserving the heritage of early America through the research and restoration of antiques and folk crafts. Specializing in caned and wicker furniture restoration, we also engage in traditional basketmaking (Nantucket Lightship, Rib, Splint baskets), fiber crafts, quilting, and other folk crafts. Designs are researched to reflect accurate techniques and materials to the appropriate era.

We provide a unique educational service for the recreational crafts community. We teach various crafts through workshops, festival demonstrations, and online. We provide you with the narrative/visual instruction, the materials and tools you need for the craft construction, and the support to manage and direct your learning, one on one, with an educational specialist. If you have the interest, we have the resources.

We also prefer to attend craft shows that have a strong heritage orientation or ones that support and benefit senior citizen organizations and programs.

We prefer to demonstrate at antique shows and heritage festivals as demonstrators. We will show your clientele how to recane or reweave a chair seat. In this capacity will are providing your festival with a unique marketing draw and would expect free or "reduced-fee" space for this feature. We would not be selling at the show, but only sharing information and resources. Contact if you want more information.
