Advertising: Everyone loves Westacres annual craft fair. We advertise in schools, newspapers, on internet event sites, in shops....
Entertainment: There will be a bake sale with contributions from our fantasic neighborhood bakers. There will also be a food booth serving soup and possibly hot dogs and hot sandwiches (details not yet finalized)

Description
Westacres annual Craft Fair is on Saturday 7th November 2009. Come and meet our crafter - some old favorites, and some new talent. See our website for more details. This is a long running annual event and is always guaranteed to be lots of fun. Buy new decorations for your Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. As always our juried show will bring you a range of the best crafters in Metro Detroit.

Event/Application Rules & Regulations
1. Exhibitors are encouraged to demonstrate their skills during the fair.
2. There will be NO refunds for any reason.
3. Exhibitors are responsible for their own sales tax.
4. Exhibitors must provide their own table coverings, displays, extra lighting, and extension cords.
5. Double booths are not available.
6. Acceptance / Non-acceptance letters will be mailed / emailed by September 20, 2009.
7. Due to the overwhelming response and indoor space availability, please indicate on your application if you
prefer an outside booth area or an inside area. This year, we may need to place some Crafters outside our
clubhouse, but we will try to keep everyone inside, so please indicate your preference of one over the other.
We recommend you supply your own canopy/shelter if outdoors. Otherwise, we will determine the booth
placement upon completion of those accepted.
Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Jury materials, slides or photos, will not be returned to you. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Early Packup Allowed. Table Cloth or Drape Required. Food Service will take orders from and deliver to vendor booths. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
Photos of workshop, supplies, or works in progress required.
All items must be mostly hand made, no minor Embellishments only.
Limited number of Artists per category.
Artist must be present day of show.
Table cloths required.
All product types to be sold must be listed on application.
Pre-show inspection of items and booths will be performed.
Vendors with items violating contract terms WILL BE asked to remove them.

Westacres Clubhouse is at the end of Westacres Drive. Our address is 3700 Westacres Dr, West Bloomfield, 48324. Our closest major intersection is Union Lake Rd/Commerce Rd. From Commerce Rd turn onto Westacres Dr at the light and follow the road right to the end. We are always well signposted.
