Event Listings How do I get my event listed with you?
Promoters can list an unlimited number of events at a time for free. Any event can be upgraded to a number of levals for various fees. To add an event, login, goto [events], and use the [add] or [copy previous] option. After you enter the info it goes into our database and listings immediatly. So, do an event search of your area to verify that it appears as you want it to.
How do I fix the distance to my show? It is not correct.
The distance from your zip code to event locations is calculated from the latitude and longitude of your zip code and the event locations zip code. The only way to change the distance displayed is to use a different zip code for your location or the event.
How do I change details in or add to my Event Listing?
You can edit your listing at any time by going to the [My Account] page and using the [edit] link near the event listing you wish to edit. To change the date for a new year, you can not edit the old event, you must add a new event. To change the date of an event, you must ask us, only we can edit dates.
How do I list events with different contact info?
To have different contact info for different events you need to have more then 1 login account. Each Email/Password login account can have only one set of promoter contact info. So each Event Listing that you need to have unique contact info for needs to be listed by a different login account.
How do I search for Events in my area? That are past? That are outside?
Goto the [Events] tab or the [Event Search] option. That will allow you to specify a date range, past or future, and a location, among many other options. The results will be displayed on the next page.
Why does an event search of one radius return results from a slightly larger area?
To save on database query time, all searches search a square area around the central point. Searching a circular area would involve a more complex query that takes much longer to execute. The square area contains the included circular area plus some extra events beyoned your search radius that would appear in the corner of the square not covered by the circle.
My login does not work, My event is not listed, or My account is missing some other info that was there. What happened? What should I do?
We lost the last year of data on Nov 18th. Database raid drives failed and are being examined by experts for possible recovery. The site is still up for now, but with old data. We are pulling listings from online caches, bt account info, comments, are lost for now. We are recommending that you start over, if we get any or all data off the drives, we can merge it all back.
How do I contact the promoter of an event?
Everyone can view the promoter info including name, phone, fax, and address for any evne upcoming within the next few months. Just make sure you are logged-in and view the event details. The Promoter info will be near the bottom of the page, after the event description. A full membership is required to view events passed the next few months.
How can a vendor add an event to the list?
Any site user can add events from the [Events] -> [Add an Event] page. There are 2 links on that page, on for you to add your own event, another to ad someone elses event. When you add someone elses, you will also get a full free membership!
How do Free event listings differ from Paid, Highlighted, or Featured listings?
Free event listings can only be seen a few months in advance by all site users. All details about these events are made available when people look at them, including your contact info, except your web site URL. Full Members can view all events and all details all the time.
Paid listings can always be seen by everyone as soon as you post them and your website URL is shown along with all other details.
Highlighted listings are just like paid listings but with the added benefit of a light yellow background in search results and the weekly email.
Featured listings are just like paid listings but with the added benefit of a yellow box around them in search results and the weekly email and larger name font! Featured listings are viewed and applied to much more often for this simple reason. Picture is show in search results.
How can I find listings for events that have passed?
To search for passed events, goto the Events Seach page, under the Events tab, and enter in the search critera, being sure to include the correct date range that will include it.
All event listings are maintained for history. They are not by default shown in searches because the default starting date is always Today.
Can I copy a prior listing so I do not need to re-enter all the data?
Yes! Goto [Events] > [Add] and on that page there will be a onption to add your own event, add someone elses, and a possilbe 3rd option, if you ever previously listed an even under that account, to copy one of yor previous or current listings to a new one. You will then betaken to the event edit page where there are abt 40 qyestions, make sure you add the new date! All other fields will carry over from what you coppied.
How do I manage my online application and who applied to my event?
On your event details page an on the [My Account] page is a link to [Applications] for each event. From the Applications page, you can approve or decline applicants as well as send them messags through the site for free. Each applicant should be mailing you a copy of their application with payment. Contact them if you do not receive it.
What is with the events with Approximate Only Dates?
Many event promoters are not prompt with adding upcoming event listings, but their events have been going on for years and are likely to continue. These events now are automatically re-added as approximate dates so that exhibitors are aware of a show around that time and can contact the promoter to get onto the mailing list.
How can I start selling at shows?
Basically, as an exhibitor you just search our listings, and then call promoters of shows you are interested in and ask them to mail you an application. Each promoter has very different rules, prices, and product guidelines so you must ask them all questions. Every state requires a sales tax license which you will need to acquire.
How do you contact a promoter if their phone number and address are invalid, not listed, or not replied to?
Sadly, some event promoters are almost impossible to contact; usually these are NOT the better shows. The only thing you can do is google for other numbers or addresses, call county and state and regional tourism offices (usually they can help), call the venue, call the city it is occurring in, etc. After that, if you cant get info, consider it might not be a big event or might not be happening again this year.
Membership / Joining How do I Join or Renew a Crafter Membership to view more Event Listings?
To Join or Renew, goto the [Join] page and click on a membership plan. You will be walked through the Join process, your card should already be on file if you are renewing, but you may need to update your expiration date. You will receive an email warning a few days before your membership expires and another right when it does. You can renew anytime after your membership expires by going to the [Join] page. The Join page will not let you renew if you already have an active membership plan, it will instead display the expiration date and time of your current plan. Receipts are always available under the [My Account] tab.
Where can I get a receipt?
Under the [My Account] tab, there is a [Printable Receipts] dropdown option. From that page you can view all past purchases and print receipts.
If I buy a 2 month plan, what do I see?
The membership plan length refers to how long you will be a will member for. The 2 month, 6 month, and year plan are the same membership abilities. If you buy the 2 month plan, then for 60 days you will be able to see everything on the site; it's not that you will jsut get to see 60 days further out.
Do Site-Admins have to pay for membership?
Site-Admin is a trusted status given to select users, it itself does not have anything to do with full-membership status. Since ANY site user can earn FREE membership time many ways, if a Site-Admin is at-all active and even sporatically adds content to the site, then they will likely never need to pay and yet will always have full-membership status.
Misc Why is my account considered low priority just because I have not logged in in a while?
Please take no offense. We simply can't send newsletters weekly to email addresses that have not logged-in for months because we get too many spam complaints then. Receiving the email every week simply requires you to log in a few times a year, sorry. Logging-in is as simple as entering your email and assigned password into our login form, which is required for most site access anyway.

This is caused by a problem with your web browser. Invalid password attempts will give you a visual error message. The only sure solution is to try another web browser or PC. Sometimes rebootign fixes it. Sorry, no way I can fix as the problem is caused by your browser not returning 'cookie information' given to it at login with subsequent page requests to the site that are needed to validate WHO is asking for said pages... and for you to appear as logged in.

You can handpick crafters by location and category. Start online under the 'Crafters' Tab. The search form will ask for location and category criteria to narrow the results.
Can Everyone see my info? I see it when I look at my own profile!
Every user can see their own info. Often folks do not realize they are still logged in and that the site knows it is showing them their own info, and not showing just anyone their info. Try looking at another users profile, the contact info is hidden, but there is a 'request access to full profile' link that emails them requesting permission for you to see it all.
What are Exhibitor Credits and how are they used?
Exhibitor Credits can be earned by trading contacts with us or purchased online. Each credit allows you access to one of our registered Exhibitors.
When you do an Exhibitor search online and find some that you wish to contact, use your Exhibitor Credits on them with the link provided, then you will have access to their info in a variety of formats from the 'Manage my Exhibitors' page, including call sheet format and mailing label arrangments.
Pictures How do I add pictures to my Event Listing or my Artist/Crafter Profile?
You can upload photos to our servers or give us URLs to images already on file elsewhere. There is even a photo wizzard for crafters and events that presents you with photos found on your website. Start online under 'My Account'. Crafters will have a 'Manage Photos' option on their profile and events have the same link on their event details page.
